Who Are God’s Teachers?

A Teacher of God, Jesus tells us, is anyone of us who choose to be a Teacher of God. The qualifications to be a teacher consist solely in this; somehow, somewhere we have made a deliberate choice where we did not see our interests separate from our brother. Once we have done that, our road is clearly established and our direction is surely set. A light has entered our darkness. This light may be only a single light, but it is more than adequate. We have entered an agreement with God even though we may not yet believe in God. We have become a bringer of salvation; we have become a Teacher of God.

We come from all over this world, from all walks of life, from all the religions and yet some from no religion. We are the ones who have answered the universal Call from God. The Call goes on all the time everywhere. The Call calls for us, Teachers of God, to speak for It and redeem the world. Many of us hear the call, but only a few of us will respond to it. It is just a matter of time. Everyone will eventually answer the call in the end, but that end can be seen as a long way off. It is precisely because of this that the plan for teachers was established. Our function as teachers is to save time. Each one of us begins as a single light, however with the Call as our center of light, our light becomes limitless. And we each save a thousand years of time as the world knows time. To the Call Itself, to God, time has no meaning.

There is a course for every Teacher of God and the form of the course will vary greatly by teacher. Likewise the teaching aids involved will also vary. However, the content of the course never, ever changes. The central theme of the course is always, “God’s Son is guiltless, and his innocence is his salvation.” The central theme can be seen as we are free of all guilt, therefore our innocence is our salvation. This theme is taught by actions or thoughts; in words or soundlessly; in any language or in no language at all, in any place or time or manner. It does not matter what we, the teacher, was before we heard and answered the Call. We have now become a savior by our answering. We have seen someone else, a brother, as ourselves. Therefore, we have found our own salvation and the salvation of this world. In our rebirth is the world reborn.

This is a manual for a special curriculum, intended for us, Teachers of God, as a special form of the universal course. There are many thousands of other forms, all with the same outcome. They simply save time. Still, it is time alone that winds wearily on, and the world has become very tired now. The world is old and worn and without hope. Never was there a question of the outcome, because what can possibly change the Will of God? Time, with all its illusions of change and death, wears out the world and everything in it. But time as an ending, and it is this that we, the Teachers of God, are appointed to bring about. Time is in our hands. Such was our choice, and it has been given us.
